The main objective of the meeting was to deliberate on some of the key takeaways which highlighted need for continuous engagement by the Port Associations on the development of African Green ports initiatives through sharing of best practices.
The workshop provided insights on the progress update by Port Authorities such as Mauritius Ports Authority (MPA) which have notably achieved a number of success on projects such as reduction on GHG emissions.
The bilateral engagements will continue to raise awareness among member states on climate change initiatives in the Ports and Maritime Industry in Africa.
